Silent 80 Tri-Deck

The flagship, and what the extra money buys

At 24.3 m with a 429 kWh pack, twin 340 kW motors and up to roughly 90 m² of solar, the Silent 80 Tri-Deck is the top of the range and priced accordingly at €5.51m — around double the Silent 60 for about a third more length. What you are paying for is volume, the Marco Casali/MICAD styling, and above all solar area: nearly doubling the panel coverage is what makes a boat this size credible as a largely self-charging platform.

The 18-knot top speed is the specification that most separates it from its siblings. Where the Silent 60 is published at 8 knots and is unambiguously a displacement passage-maker, the 80 has genuine reserve — useful for repositioning, weather avoidance, and keeping a charter schedule. That performance headroom is a real functional difference, not a trim level.

Caveats worth stating plainly

Diesel generators are part of the specification as range extenders, so this is not a fossil-free boat in practice; it is a boat that can run on solar much of the time and falls back on fuel when it cannot. At this size expect professional crew, superyacht-tier berthing and refit costs. And as with the rest of the range, confirm build slots and warranty arrangements with the yard directly given Silent Yachts' recent commercial history.
