Who it suits
This is the 305 Coupe E-Power, the version of the 305 for people who want a season rather than a summer. Two cabins, six berths and an enclosed coupé wheelhouse make it a genuine two-person weekender in Nordic or shoulder-season conditions, and Nimbus has been building electric configurations since 2009 — unusual longevity in a field full of first-generation entrants, and worth something when you need a part in year eight.
Reading the numbers
The published pairing of 42.2 kWh and a 53 nm range at 5.7 knots works out at roughly 0.8 kWh per nautical mile, which is efficient, and implies a little over nine hours at cruise. Drop to 3.7 knots and the quoted 86 nm becomes close to a full day afloat. The binding constraint is charging: 16 hours at 230 V means a genuine overnight plus, and the 8-hour figure requires 380 V three-phase that many leisure berths simply do not have. Check your home berth before you check the brochure. The optional 84.4 kWh twin pack addresses range but not the shore-power question.
At €265,000 this asks a substantial premium over an equivalent diesel 30-footer, and 50 kW will never plane it — this is a displacement-speed archipelago and canal boat by design, not by compromise.
