Who it suits

Thirty knots from a 50 kW drive is the headline, and it is unusual enough to be the reason to look. That figure can only come from a very light, very slippery hull, because 50 kW is modest by planing-boat standards. The buyer it fits is a Nordic or lake owner who wants real performance without paying for an enormous battery, and who is comfortable being early — the Amy is a 2026 debutant from a small Finnish yard, positioned above the Amber in the range.

Read the range figure carefully

The 35 nm range applies at a 20-knot cruise, which is the honest way to quote it and more transparent than most of the segment manages. At full speed it will be materially less; at displacement speeds the solar assist begins to contribute and Elvene claims it extends further. Solar is a low-speed benefit only and will not meaningfully offset 20-knot running.

The main caveat is what is absent: no published battery capacity and no published price, which together make the boat impossible to compare or budget for at this stage. The 48-volt Molabo ARIES drive is an interesting choice — the low voltage makes the system safe to touch and simplifies servicing, at the cost of very high currents and correspondingly heavy cabling. As with any launch-year boat, establish delivery slots and warranty backing before paying a deposit.
