Who it suits
The 28 Cabin is a canal and lake boat, and it makes no pretence otherwise. Twin 10 kW motors — 20 kW combined, around 27 hp — on an 8.61 m cabin hull put it firmly in displacement territory, and the published 7.5-knot top speed confirms it. For the Dutch and German waterways, the Berlin lakes, the Italian lakes or any of Europe's growing number of combustion-restricted zones, that is exactly right. The 50 kWh pack against so modest a draw implies a genuinely long day afloat rather than an anxious one, and the quoted 50 nm range is consistent with that.
It suits nobody who wants to leave a marina in a hurry, and it is not a coastal boat. Against tide or a stiff headwind on an estuary, 20 kW is thin.
The numbers and the price
At €175,000 — converted from roughly £150,000, so re-check at current rates — you pay a clear premium over the petrol version of the same hull. Alfastreet is a mixed builder, so electric here is an option box rather than a design philosophy; the hull was not conceived around it. That is not a fault, but it does mean you should not expect Candela-style efficiency. Compare against Delphia and Greenline in the same band before committing.
